Not a bus and far away from your average yellow submarine. The Deep Flight Super Falcon is as close to an underwater fighter jet as a sub can be. On the demo video you will find the inventor/engineer Graham Hawkes pulling underwater barrels fast enough to get your mind wonder on what is to come in the next few years as battery operated vehicule get more and more autonomy and power…Hawkes mention in an interview that the Super Falcon behaves just like a jet plane as a down push on the joystick will activate the wing flaps and the power itself is enough to submerge the sub, not slow and easy like its “ballasted” counterpart, but rather like a torpedo style of immersion. Now here is an idea for you Mr Hawkes, how about a micro bubble shield like dolphins around the sub as it is moving through the water? US Navy torpedos are equiped with it for a enhanced glide and speed.
Power is already quite amazing as a film crew managed to keep up with dolphins for an Imax movie shoot. 20 year in development has a cost and this new yacht toy retail for a nice $1.3 Million.
In the meantime I shall try go for the casting of the next james bond movie as this thing will most likely be part of it!
Yours bubbly,
OM~
